Hal Singer

Hal Singer is an accomplished economist with extensive experience in academia and research. Currently serving as the Executive Director of The Utah Project since October 2022, Hal leads initiatives aimed at enforcing antitrust and consumer protection laws while also holding the position of Professor of Economics at the University of Utah. A Managing Director at Econ One Research since September 2018, Hal previously served as a Senior Fellow at the George Washington Institute for Public Policy and taught advanced pricing to MBA candidates at Georgetown University. Hal's earlier roles include Principal at Economists Incorporated, Senior Fellow at the Progressive Policy Institute, Managing Director at Navigant Economics, and President at Empiris LLC and Criterion Economics. Hal earned a Ph.D. in Economics from The Johns Hopkins University and a BS in Economics from Tulane University.
