Andrew Rella

Andrew Rella, Ph.D., is a highly experienced professional in coastal engineering and marine habitat enhancement, currently serving as the Technical Director of Business Development at ECOncrete® Tech LTD. since January 2014. In this role, Andrew oversees the development of innovative concrete products aimed at improving the ecological value of coastal infrastructure. Additionally, Andrew operates InterTidal Habitat Consulting, focusing on oyster reef growth for marine pier piles as a sustainable construction solution. Previous positions include postdoctoral researcher and lecturer at Stevens Institute of Technology, where Andrew specialized in soft engineering alternatives for shoreline protection, and research assistant, contributing to shoreline protection evaluations and sustainable practices. Andrew holds a Ph.D. in Coastal Engineering, a Master of Engineering in Ocean Engineering, and a Bachelor of Engineering in Environmental Engineering, all from Stevens Institute of Technology.
