Warren Versfeld has a diverse work experience in the renewable energy industry. Warren started their career as an intern at Grey Green, where they gained knowledge of energy efficiency and assisted in designing photovoltaic (PV) systems. Warren then moved on to AWPower, where they served as a Solar PV Design Engineer and later became the Manager of Engineering & Design. In these roles, they were responsible for designing and overseeing the installation of residential and commercial rooftop solar PV solutions. Warren also managed installation teams and ensured the quality of AWPower's solutions. Warren then joined ROMANO SOLAR as a Project Engineer, where they played a key role in the design, installation, and management of C&I Rooftop and Utility Scale Solar PV projects. Currently, they are working at Ecorus as a Project Engineer. Throughout their career, they have been involved in business development, preparing technical documents for proposals and tenders, evaluating RFQ/RFPs, and developing technical specifications and scope of works.
Warren Versfeld obtained their Bachelor's Degree in Mechatronics, Robotics, and Automation Engineering from the University of Cape Town between the years 2011 and 2015. Warren also earned a Certificate in Project Management Foundations from GetSmarter in 2017. Additionally, they received a Certificate in Advanced Photovoltaic Systems from the Centre for Renewable and Sustainable Energy Studies in 2016. Prior to their university education, Warren Versfeld matriculated from Rondebosch Boys' High School between the years 2006 and 2010.
