Neil Hellings

Neil Hellings is a seasoned executive with extensive experience in leadership roles across various sectors, including renewable energy, agriculture, and security services. Currently serving as the Managing Director for East Africa at Ecosafi, the Better Cooking Company since September 2024, Neil is recognized for driving verifiable climate action in the clean cooking sector. Previously, as CEO of Yalelo Uganda, Neil successfully scaled operations in the tilapia production industry. Neil has also held CEO positions at West Kenya Sugar Co. Ltd and Securex Agencies (K) Ltd, where strategic restructuring and operational efficiency were key focuses. Earlier roles include Director positions at Two Lakes Energy Limited, Hortiboxes Africa, and Madumbi - Sustainable Agriculture. Neil began a career in HR and organizational development in the oil sector with Oil Sector Services Company OSSC and held managerial positions in security services, notably as Country Manager for ArmorGroup International plc. Neil's academic background includes a BSc (Hons) in Information Systems & Management from Cranfield University.
