EcoSensory Therapy grew out of practice, curiosity, and a shared sense that something important was missing from how we support people.

We are Chris West and Claire Pemrick, Occupational Therapists, and Matt Slavin, Clinical Psychologist. Through our work across health, education, and social care, we repeatedly saw how powerful nature could be in supporting regulation, connection, and wellbeing, not as an “add-on”, but as an active part of the therapeutic process.

EcoSensory Therapy is an evidence-based model of practice that works with nature as a sensory and relational medium to support physical, emotional, developmental, and psychological needs across the lifespan.

The research is clear: nature supports human health and wellbeing in profound ways.

But moving practice beyond the four walls isn’t always straightforward.

Questions around safety, ethics, confidence, and responsibility often hold practitioners back, even when they feel that outdoor work makes sense.

EcoSensory Therapy exists to bridge that gap.

Our purpose is to support practitioners in health, education, and social care to work with nature, safely, ethically, and with confidence.

We offer a grounded framework that helps practitioners translate what they already know into outdoor spaces, using the senses, the body, and the natural world as partners in the work.

And... we have a lot of fun in the process.
