Serkan Basdemir

Serkan Basdemir has a diverse work experience in the field of software engineering and management. Serkan is currently serving as the Head of DevOps & SRE at Ecospend since 2022. Prior to that, they worked at HAVELSAN for a significant period. Their roles at HAVELSAN included being a Cloud Computing Solutions Engineering Manager, where they led teams in developing Cloud Native SW Products/Projects and designing/architecting/developing Cloud and Big Data platforms. Serkan also served as a Technical Lead and Advisor, guiding teams in R&D activities and assisting in finding new job opportunities for the company. In addition, Serkan worked as a Technical Lead for the Wireless Quick Access Recorder (WQAR) Project and Software Lead for the Mission Computing Subsystem (MCS) at HAVELSAN. Before joining HAVELSAN, they gained experience as a Software Engineer at YALTES, where they worked on software development projects using UNIX and Linux operating systems. Serkan Basdemir earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Electronics and Communications Engineering from Istanbul Technical University. Serkan attended the university from 1994 to 2000. Serkan also attended Bursa Science School at some point, for an unspecified duration, but the degree and field of study are unknown.
