Matt Bold is a Senior Data Scientist at Ecotricity, where they develop the Ecolibrium algorithmic trading platform for grid-scale batteries. With over three years of industry experience, they specialize in creating optimization and machine learning solutions using technologies such as Python, TypeScript, AWS, and SQL. Previously, Matt held roles at AstraZeneca and the Smith Institute, focusing on algorithm design for scheduling, supply chain management, and machine learning applications for the National Grid. They earned a PhD in Statistics and Operational Research from Lancaster University, following a BSc in Mathematics from the University of Birmingham.
