Karsten Moritz

Vice President R&d Building Components at ecoworks

Karsten Moritz has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Karsten most recently worked at ecoworks as the Vice President R&D Building Components since November 2022. Prior to that, they served as a Professor (hon.) at Anhalt University of Applied Sciences, where they also had teaching assignments at the affiliated IMS Bauhaus® Archineer® Institutes e.V. Karsten was the R&D Director at Taiyo Europe GmbH from February 2016 to October 2022. Before that, they held various roles at seele, including Technical Director and R&D Director. Karsten co-founded and worked at Engineering + Design (E+D) Linke & Moritz GbR as an Engineering Partner. Karsten also served as a Scientific Assistant at Technische Universität München, specifically at the Chair of Structural Design, and as a Structural Engineer at Koch Hightex GmbH. Karsten Moritz began their professional career as a Project Manager at OBERMEYER Group.

Karsten Moritz holds a Doctorate in Engineering Sciences from the Technical University of Munich, completed in an unknown period before 2007. Prior to that, they obtained a Diplom (equivalent to a Master's degree) in Architecture and a Diplom in Structural Engineering from Leibniz Universität Hannover. These degrees were earned in unspecified periods before 1997 and 1992, respectively.
