Brett Berghauer

Brett Berghauer has a diverse range of work experience spanning various industries. Starting in 2006, they worked as a Research Assistant for Exelixis, where they assisted in the development of plant stem cell cultures and provided analysis of plant cell growth. From 2007 to 2013, they were an Instructor and Consultant for International Education Services (IES), conducting seminars and advising pharmaceutical and corporate clients on global meeting preparation and English presentation skills. In 2012, Brett served as a Marketing Consultant for Gengo, where they grew and managed a pool of translators and established partnerships with third-party agencies. In 2013, they founded The Tokyo Pub Crawl, which became a successful event planning and management company in Japan. Brett hosted over 85,000 customers and pioneered the pub crawl concept in the country. From 2017 to 2019, Brett attended General Assembly as a Full Stack Development student, gaining proficiency in JavaScript, React.js, and Node. Afterward, they worked as an Events Manager for Farm.One, a startup specializing in indoor hydroponic vertical farms in New York City. In this role, they oversaw a significant growth in event revenue and built a network of hotel partners for tourism. From 2019 to 2020, Brett worked as a Retail Member Consultant for The Apothecarium, providing personalized consultations in a medical and recreational dispensary. In 2020, Brett became an Ecommerce Business Owner, managing an online retail business focused on electronics and household goods. Brett achieved consistent revenue and positive feedback goals while overseeing marketing, procurement, customer service, inventory sourcing, content production, and logistics. In 2021, Brett joined CVS Health as a Pharmacy Technician, operating across two pharmacies in southeastern Wisconsin. Brett gained a comprehensive understanding of medications and efficiently managed dosages, prescriptions, and dispensing. Currently, Brett is an Operations Specialist at ECP, starting in 2022.

Brett Berghauer completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Bacteriology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison from 2001 to 2006. In 2017, they attended General Assembly and studied Full Stack Web Development. Along with their educational background, Brett has obtained several certifications. In 2005, they received the Open Water Certification from PADI and became an Authorized User of Radioactive Material from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. In 2011, Brett obtained their Japan Class 1 Drivers License from the Tokyo Public Safety Commission and achieved the Japanese Language Proficiency N3 from the Japan Educational Exchanges and Services. Additionally, in 2015, they obtained their Japan Class 1 & 2 Offshore Boating License from the Japan Marine Recreation Association.
