David Shoop

David Shoop currently serves as Vice President for Academic Affairs at ECPI University since May 2019. Previously, David held various leadership roles at South University from 2011 to January 2018, including Campus President and Dean of Academic Affairs and Operations. Prior experience includes Branch President at Hiawatha National Bank Branch GNB from 2006 to 2011, and an academic career at John Brown University as Associate Professor of Chemistry and Chair of the Division of Natural Science from 1999 to 2006, along with an Assistant Professorship in Chemistry. Earlier roles included Assistant Professor of Chemistry at Northwestern State University and Research Chemist at the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center. David earned a Doctor of Philosophy in Chemistry from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and completed the Graduate School of Banking at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. David holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry from John Brown University.
