Ben Grimer

Ben Grimer has been working in the software engineering industry since 1987. Ben began their career at Racal Defence Electronics as a Graduate Programmer/Programmer, producing firmware for defence equipment. In 1990, they moved to Wilco International (ADP) as an Analyst Programmer/Support Consultant, providing software for City Institutions. In 1998, they joined Prudential/Capita as a Senior Analyst Programmer, developing Java J2EE applications and Javascript tools. Since 2017, they have been a Senior Software Engineer at Ecrebo, working with technologies such as AWS, Rackspace, Atlassian/Confluence, Slack, Wrike, VPNs, PosgreSQL, RESTfull Web Services, Git, Bitlocker, and Zabbix. Ben has excellent knowledge of Postgres, Centos, VPNs, Groovy, Grails, Google Docs/Sheet/Slides, Slack, Wrike, Confluence, JBoss, AWS/RDS, Rackspace, Error Diagnosis and Troubleshooting, Scrum/Agile, Eclipse, IntelliJ, Ruby on Rails, Java, and GIT.

Ben Grimer attended the University of Essex from 1984 to 1987, where they earned a BSc in Computer Science.
