Joseph Tarnowski

VP, Content & Global Media at ECRM

Joseph Tarnowski has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Joseph started their career as an Assistant Editor for FoodService Director magazine in 1993 and worked there until 1996. Joseph then joined The Journal of Petroleum Marketing (Nielsen) as a Managing Editor, where they played a key role in launching the annual technology supplement called Data to Dollars. Joseph also managed day-to-day operations of the publication and introduced the Food Service column.

In 1999, Joseph joined Genesys Consulting Services as a PC Tech and later transitioned to East Coast RETAILTECH Magazine (Nielsen) as a Sales Manager. In this role, they were responsible for driving sales and managing client relationships. Joseph then moved to The Nielsen Co. as an E-Business Strategist for RETAILTECH Magazine VNU, where they focused on developing e-commerce strategies.

In 2000, Joseph became a Freelance Writer for The Nielsen Co., contributing to various publications. Joseph continued working in freelance roles until 2002 when they joined Stagnito Media/Progressive Grocer Independent. At Stagnito Media, they took on multiple roles, including Senior Editor, Director of Integrated Content/Technology Editor, and Co-Founder and Event Content Director. Joseph played a crucial role in the launch of Progressive Grocer Independent, a national trade media brand focused on independent grocers. Joseph also developed content and distribution partnerships with industry leaders and moderated roundtables and webcasts.

Since 2010, Joseph has been associated with ECRM, where they currently serve as the VP of Content & Global Media. In this role, they develop thought leadership content to engage and educate the audience. Joseph also leads public relations and earned media strategies for RangeMe and ECRM.

Joseph's work experience demonstrates their expertise in content development, media strategies, event management, and industry partnerships.

Joseph Tarnowski attended Hunter College, City University of New York from 1989 to 1993. Joseph obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications during this time.
