John Roman is the vice president of contracts and procurement at ECS. In this role, Mr. Roman oversees management of the company’s contracts, subcontracts, and procurement functions.
Previously, Mr. Roman was a senior director of contracts, procurement, and pricing for Huntington Ingalls Industries (HII). At HII, he led the contracting for the company’s Mission Driven Innovative Solutions (MDIS) group, which provided engineering solutions to organizations across the federal government.
Mr. Roman has over 30 years of experience working in federal and commercial contract sectors, and he is an accomplished lecturer and writer on the subject. He is also a member of the National Contract Management Association (NCMA), where he serves on its national Board of Advisors and as the president-elect for their Northern Virginia (NOVA) chapter.
Mr. Roman has a B.A. in financial management from The Catholic University of America and is both a Certified Federal Contracts Manager (CFCM) and Certified Professional Contracts Manager (CPCM).
