Simon P. has a diverse work experience in the field of cyber security and IT. Simon started their career in 1999 as an IT Technician at Springtime Computers and then worked as an IT Engineer at Datacable Ltd from 2002 to 2005. Simon then joined the British Army and served as a Technical Supply Specialist from 2005 to 2015, followed by a role as a Communication Systems Engineer from 2015 to 2019.

In 2019, Simon joined Claranet Cyber Security as a Penetration Tester and worked there until 2021. Simon then worked as a Cyber Security Consultant at Thales from June 2021 to November 2021, and as an Offensive Security Consultant at BDO from November 2021 to December 2021. In 2022, they joined Claranet Cyber Security again, this time as a Senior Penetration Tester.

Currently, Simon is working at ECSC Group plc as a Senior Cyber Security Consultant, starting in December 2022. Overall, Simon P. has a strong background in cyber security and IT, with experience ranging from technical roles to consultancy positions.

From 2017 to 2018, Simon attended Bournemouth University where they obtained a Foundation Degree in Communication Systems Engineering (FdSc).

Between 1996 and 2000, Simon attended Salt Grammar School, where they achieved a GCSE in English, Maths, and Science, as well as a GNVQ in Manufacturing.

In December 2018, they completed the Exam 411: Administering Windows Server 2012, and in October 2018, they passed the Exam 410: Installing and Configuring Windows Server 2012. In February 2017, they became a Cisco Certified Network Associate Routing and Switching (CCNA) through the Cisco Networking Academy.

Simon has also acquired additional certifications in leadership and team skills, specifically the Certificate in Leadership and Team Skills: Level 2 from ILM. Simon also holds a certification in Internal Fibre Optics (3667) from City & Guilds. The specific months and years of completion for these certifications are not provided.
