Omid Mowla

Omid Mowla is a Senior R&D Engineer at ECT2 (Emerging Compounds Treatment Technologies, Inc.) since May 2021, leading research and development efforts to optimize groundwater treatment systems across Australia, particularly addressing PFAS, 1,4-dioxane, organic carbon, and metals. Prior experience includes a Postdoctoral Fellowship in Renewable Energy at the Newcastle Institute for Energy and Resources, where key projects involved innovative processes for renewable energy and water treatment. Omid has held managerial and engineering roles in various organizations, including project management in low emissions technologies, environmental engineering, and lecturing at the University of Newcastle and Fars Science and Research Branch, with a strong background in chemical and environmental engineering, underscored by a Ph.D. from the University of Newcastle.
