Operations Director, Site Assessment & Remediation at ECT

Rebecca Powell has a diverse and extensive work experience in the environmental consulting industry. Rebecca currently holds the position of Operations Director, Due Diligence at Environmental Consulting & Technology, Inc. (ECT) since January 2023. Prior to this role, they served as the National Due Diligence Practice Leader at ECT from September 2021 to June 2023, where they provided expertise on environmental risk and regulatory frameworks in the US Midwest and Central regions.

Before joining ECT, Rebecca held various positions at August Mack Environmental, Inc. From February 2021 to September 2021, they worked as the Program Development Manager, Renewable Energy Services, supporting wind and solar development projects nationwide. Prior to that, they served as a Practice Leader at August Mack from July 2018 to February 2021, where they managed renewable energy projects in the Midwest, Central/Great Plains, and Rocky Mountain regions.

Rebecca also gained valuable experience at AEI Consultants, where they held the role of Director of Environmental Services - Renewable Energy for a short period in June 2018. Prior to that, they worked as a Senior Project Manager at AEI Consultants from April 2016 to April 2018.

Rebecca'scareer began in 2011 at the Little Traverse Bay Band of Odawa Indians, where they worked as an Environmental Response Specialist from July 2011 to March 2012.

Overall, Rebecca Powell has demonstrated expertise in due diligence, environmental risk mitigation, renewable energy projects, and regulatory compliance throughout their career in the environmental consulting field.

Rebecca Powell completed their Bachelor's degree in Hydrogeology, with a specialization in Geochemistry, from Central Michigan University between 2007 and 2011. Rebecca then pursued additional education at the Illinois Institute of Technology in 2006-2007, where they completed coursework related to Chemical Engineering. Currently, Rebecca is enrolled at the University of Connecticut, where they are expected to finish their postgraduate courses in sustainable natural resource management, environmental, and energy law between 2020 and 2025.
