Van Smith

Van Smith is currently the President of Community Hospitals at ECU Health, a position held since 2024. Prior to this role, Van served as the Senior Vice President of Hospital Operations at Vidant Medical Center from 2011 to 2019 and as President of The Outer Banks Hospital Inc from 2006 to 2010. Van is pursuing multiple degrees at the University of Alabama at Birmingham and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, including a Master’s Degree in Health Administration and an MBA, while having completed a Bachelor's Degree in Health Policy and Administration.
