Daniel McGowan, PhD, MInstD, is an accomplished neurobiologist and the Chief Executive Officer of Cure Parkinson's NZ, where they lead efforts to accelerate research and funding for Parkinson's disease. With over 25 years of experience in life sciences, Daniel has held significant positions in research, senior management, and governance, including roles at Edanz and Nature Publishing Group. They also serve as Board Chair of YSAR, a national organization dedicated to training youth in search and rescue. Daniel’s commitment to community service extends to their volunteer work as a Coastguard Rescue Vessel Master.
