Michael Byrnes is a seasoned marketing professional with extensive experience in connections strategy and digital marketing. Currently serving as Senior Vice President of Connections Strategy at Edelman since September 2021, Michael integrates creative and media strategies for notable clients including Unilever and Mars. Previously, as Vice President at Edelman, Michael led strategy for the Unilever portfolio. At Initiative, Michael pioneered the Personalized Creative offering, enhancing client revenue through effective campaigns. Michael's earlier roles included strategic leadership for BMW's national marketing at UM Worldwide and audience strategy at Havas for IBM. Additionally, Michael is a musician, actively involved as a mandolinist and vocalist in the bluegrass band Dark City Strings. Michael holds a Bachelor's Degree in American Studies from Rutgers University.
