Lucas van Rooij

Lucas van Rooij is an Analyst at Eden McCallum since January 2023, with a strong background in computer science and artificial intelligence. Lucas served as a Teaching Assistant at Universiteit Leiden, conducting practical sessions for courses in Algorithms & Data Structures and Introduction to Programming. A Master Thesis Intern at C-Job Naval Architects, Lucas focused on applying Explainable Artificial Intelligence methods to ship design analysis and documented the research in a paper. Lucas also gained experience as an Artificial Intelligence Intern at ABN AMRO Bank, concentrating on Natural Language Processing for chatbots. In addition, Lucas held a financial role as a Quaestor for the student association L.S.V. Minerva. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Computer Science with a focus on Artificial Intelligence and a Bachelor in Informatics, both from Leiden University, along with earlier studies at the University of Cambridge and RSG Lingecollege.
