Simon Townsend currently serves as General Manager at Eden Project since December 2023. Previously, Simon held the position of Operations Director at Longleat from July 2018 to November 2023, overseeing one of the UK's premier visitor attractions. Simon also served as General Manager at Camel Creek Ltd from June 2008 to June 2018, leading an award-winning family theme park, and held similar roles at Parkdean Holidays Ltd and Bannatyne's Health Clubs, with a successful tenure focused on financial and operational performance. Additionally, Simon was Chairman of the Cornwall Association of Tourist Attractions from 2010 to 2012, supporting collaboration among top visitor attractions in Cornwall. Simon's career in management began at Warner Village Cinemas, where a trainee position led to General Manager responsibilities. Educationally, Simon completed a HNC in International Hospitality & Tourism Management at Anglia Ruskin University and a GNVQ Advanced in Travel & Tourism at Lowestoft College.
