Daniel Adigun has a wealth of experience in quality assurance and food safety. Daniel began their career in 2005 as Regional Quality & Regulatory Food Manager at The Great Atlantic & Pacific Tea Company (A&P). In this role, they were responsible for providing overall leadership and oversight for Corporate Food Safety Programs across Operating Companies within an assigned region. In 2010, they moved to Acme Smoked Fish Corp as Corporate Sr. Quality Assurance Manager and was responsible for leading and directing the overall regulatory affairs and functions for all Acme brands. In 2014, they joined The Chia Co as Head of Quality and was responsible for directing day to day quality and food safety operations in North America and Europe. In 2017, they moved to Catania Oils as Director of Quality, Food Safety & Compliance and served as brand protector and ambassador by creating, implementing, and maintaining world-class, end-to-end quality assurance and food safety philosophy. Currently, they are Director of Quality at Edesia Nutrition, a nonprofit organization committed to treating and preventing malnutrition in the developing world through ready-to-use therapeutic food. In this role, they are responsible for the management and strategic direction of Edesia Quality, Food Safety, Regulatory Affairs, and Sanitation functions.
Daniel Adigun completed a Certificate in GMP Food Manufacturing from Cornell University in 2013. Daniel then went on to obtain a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Community Health from Long Island University between 2008 and 2010. Daniel also has certifications in PCQI, Lead Aud-SQF, BRC, ISO22000, HACCP, GMP, OSHA - ISO 45001:2018, Green Belt Six Sigma, Serve Safe Certificate, and a Certificate in Food Safety & Food Handler from the NYC Health Academy.
