Mark Cox

Mark Cox has extensive experience in the energy sector, currently serving as Head of Nuclear and Wholesale at EDF (UK) since April 2012, and previously holding the position of Head of Transmission and Trading Arrangements. Prior roles include Associate Director for Offshore Transmission and Associate Partner for Industry Codes and Licensing at Ofgem from December 2003 to March 2012, as well as Head of Distribution Policy. Earlier career experience includes positions at National Grid as Charging Team Leader, Commercial Analyst, and Power System Design Engineer from 1997 to 2003, and as Design Engineer at Western Power Distribution from September 1995 to January 1997. Mark Cox earned a BEng in Electrical Engineering from Bath Spa University from 1992 to 1995, following education at Dean Close School, Cheltenham, from 1986 to 1992.
