Peter Smith

Peter Smith is an experienced professional in the energy sector, currently serving as Project Development Manager at EDF Energy since March 2014, with previous roles including Contracts and Commercial Manager and Outage Manager. Prior to EDF Energy, Peter worked at RWE Technology from 2007 to January 2014 as a Project Manager, focusing on the development and execution of power plant projects, including the engineering of coal power stations. Earlier, from 1990 to 2007, Peter held positions at RWE npower as Engineering Manager, overseeing engineering and maintenance teams, and as Metallurgist and Welding Engineer, managing plant integrity and developing welding procedures. Peter holds a Master of Science in Welding Technology from Cranfield University, a Bachelor of Science in Engineering Metallurgy from The University of Salford, and is currently pursuing a Management Diploma at INSEAD.
