Simon Lafferty

Simon Lafferty is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in the engineering and construction sectors. Currently serving as Programme Director at EDF (UK) since May 2023, Simon is responsible for overseeing the full lifecycle of the MEH works at Hinkley Point C. Prior to this role, Simon held the position of Executive General Manager at Ventia from January 2022 to May 2023. Simon's career includes significant leadership roles at Balfour Beatty Kilpatrick and Balfour Beatty Engineering Construction, where positions ranged from Managing Director to Project Manager. Simon began the career as an Apprentice Electrician at Balfour Kilpatrick and has progressively advanced through various managerial and directorial roles since then.
