Stuart Cunningham

Stuart Cunningham is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in the nuclear sector, currently serving as the Design Engineering Group Head at EDF (UK) since September 2012. In this leadership role, Stuart oversees the execution of Fleet Engineering standards and manages a team of engineers to ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations for nuclear power operations. Prior to this, Stuart held the position of Design Engineer, focusing on significant electrical, mechanical, and control and instrumentation projects, with an emphasis on Reactor Safety and Shutdown Systems. Earlier experience includes a role as a Watercourse Surveyor at Perth & Kinross Council and a Trainee Engineer position at UIN FOODS LTD. Stuart earned a Master of Engineering degree in Electrical and Mechanical Engineering from the University of Strathclyde.
