Cory Basil

Cory Basil serves as the Regional Senior Vice President for Canada and the US Northeast at EDF Renewables North America, leading efforts in originating wind power, solar, and energy storage projects. Since April 2011, Cory has held roles of increasing responsibility, including Vice President of Development. Additionally, Cory is a member of the Board of Directors for the Canadian Renewable Energy Association since July 2020 and previously served as Chair of the Board for the Canadian Wind Energy Association from November 2016 to July 2020. Prior experience includes positions such as Director of Wind Development at EDF Energies Nouvelles and VP of Project Development at SkyPower Global. Cory's career began in marketing and business development, holding senior roles at Webhelp Inc. and SITEL Corporation. Education was completed at Western University with a Bachelor of Arts in Social Science.
