Sterling Root

Sterling Root is an experienced professional in the renewable energy sector, currently serving as Associate Director of Business Development at EDF Renewables North America since June 2017. Root has successfully led the origination of 200 MW of solar projects and has played pivotal roles in various capacities, including Senior Manager and Project Developer, focusing on Distributed Solar, Battery Storage, EV Chargers, and Microgrids across multiple markets. Root's prior experiences include a fellowship at the Clean Energy Leadership Institute, an energy consulting role at Phoenix Energy Group, and positions in partnership marketing and corporate sales at organizations such as (RED) and the Brooklyn Nets. Root holds an MBA in Clean Technology from the University of California, Berkeley, and a degree with honors in Public Policy and Law from Trinity College-Hartford.
