John Purvis

John Purvis has a strong background in the aerospace and defense industry. John is currently the Chief Executive Officer at Edge Autonomy, a position they started in February 2022. Prior to this, they served as the Chief Executive Officer at Jennings Aeronautics, Inc. from May 2021 to February 2022.

From June 2016 to May 2021, John held the role of President at Vector Integration, where they played a key leadership role in the company. Before that, they served as the Director of Unmanned Integrated Systems at Lockheed Martin from November 2012 to May 2016.

John has also served as the Chief Executive Officer at AME Unmanned Air Systems, where they led a team that delivered unmanned systems to the Department of Defense and their allies. John held this position from October 2010 to November 2012.

Earlier in their career, John worked at Sierra Nevada Corporation as the Vice President of the Aviation Programs division and as Chief Engineer from January 2005 to October 2010. John was responsible for working with the USAF Big Safari and spearheading international business opportunities within the corporation.

John started their career at General Dynamics as a Principal Engineer, where they worked from January 1999 to December 2004.

John Purvis completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Colorado Boulder from 1997 to 2001. John further pursued their education and obtained a Master of Science degree in Aerospace Engineering from the same institution from 2003 to 2005.
