Emily Dwyer is an advocate for diverse sexual orientation, gender identity, and expression, and sex characteristics (SOGIESC) with 14 years of experience in development and humanitarian work. Emily has worked extensively with local communities and international organizations, including roles at the United Nations and Internews, where projects focused on media development and peace-building. Emily co-founded Edge Effect and serves as the Head of Strategy at 42 Degrees, both organizations aimed at enhancing SOGIESC inclusion. Emily has also produced award-winning content for various media outlets, including ABC Radio National and international broadcasters. Emily studied Urban Planning at the University of Melbourne and holds a Bachelor of Arts with Honours in Philosophy from the University of Adelaide.
