Simone Melillo

Director Of Operations at EDGE Energy

Simone Melillo began their work experience in 2008 as a Conservation Program Intern at Potomac Conservancy, where they gained experience in restoration and environmental policy. Simone then worked as a Global Government Relations Intern at Visa in 2009, analyzing the effect of the interchange fee on credit card companies. In 2011, Simone joined EDGE Energy as a Project Manager, overseeing commercial and residential projects and addressing client issues. Simone later became an Operations Manager, guiding buildout project management and managing internal contracts. In 2019, Simone was promoted to Director of Operations at EDGE Energy, where they streamlined operations, optimized the profit and loss statement, and integrated the internal CRM system. Additionally, they started their own swim clinic, DMV Swims, in 2019, where they teach water safety and advanced techniques to children.

Simone Melillo has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Environmental Science and Public Policy with a focus in Economics from Harvard University. In addition to their degree, they also hold several certifications. These certifications include being a Certified Energy Manager (CEM) from the Association of Energy Engineers, a NABCEP Photovoltaic Associate from NABCEP: North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners, and a Quality Control Inspector (QCI), Building Analyst, Envelope Professional, Heating Professional, AC/Heat Pump, and Multi-Family Building Analyst from the Building Performance Institute, Inc.
