Liang Li

Liang Li is a seasoned researcher with a strong background in higher education, currently serving as Vice President of the Emirates Crystallographic Society and Professor of Physics at Sorbonne University Abu Dhabi. They are also a Technology Advisor at EDGE, having previously held positions as a Research Scientist and Visiting Research Fellow at New York University Abu Dhabi. Liang’s expertise lies in crystallography, with a focus on smart materials and characterization methodology, further honed through their role as Group Lead and Senior Research Scientist at KAUST and as an Assistant Professor at Shandong University. Liang completed a Doctor’s Degree in Physics and Materials Science at Universität Bayreuth and holds both a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree from Shandong University in Materials Engineering and Optics, respectively.
