Yan L. has worked in the audio engineering and software development fields since 2000. Yan began their career as a Software Engineer at Creative Labs, and then became a Software Engineer COOP at Electronic Arts. In 2007, they joined IVL Audio as a DSP Engineer, where they researched and developed algorithms in audio processing, audio effects, and music information retrieval. In 2015, they moved to TC Helicon as a Senior Engineer, where they worked on technology and product development for guitar and vocal markets. In 2021, they joined THX Ltd. as a Senior Audio DSP and Acoustics Engineer, where they designed audio DSP algorithms, implemented audio processing on various platforms, and managed a small team of engineers. Most recently, they began working as a Senior DSP Engineer at Edge Impulse in 2022.
Yan L. received a M.A.Sc Coop in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Victoria in 2006. Prior to that, they obtained a Master's Degree in Electronic Engineering from Dalian University of Technology and a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Northwestern Polytechnical University.
