Sherry O'Connell

Sherry O'Connell has over 20 years of experience in the IT industry. Sherry began their career in 2000 as a Network Administrator at AMI Manchester, LLC, where they were responsible for developing and maintaining Lotus Notes applications, as well as performing hardware and software maintenance on network servers, PCs, printers, and barcode label makers. Sherry also coordinated projects and trained users in new technology.

In 2004, Sherry joined La-Z-Boy Incorporated as a Projects & Operations Manager, where they managed all aspects of operations and the project management lifecycle for multiple scopes. Her projects included retail store evolutions, dealer acquisitions, system conversions, and software/hardware enhancements that reduced operational costs, increased corporate brand visibility, and delivered IS/IT alignment to corporate standards.

In 2018, Sherry became the Director of Technical Services at Edge Solutions & Consulting Inc., where they also served as a Technical Project Manager for T-Mobile US, Inc. In this role, they managed a Veritas Retirement project to remove Veritas Storage Foundation from 6000+ servers across the enterprise, resulting in significant operational cost reduction. Server platforms in scope included AIX, Linux, and Windows.

Sherry O'Connell obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Information Systems from Siena Heights University in 2004. Sherry also holds a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute.
