John Ellis

John Ellis, MBA, PMP, currently serves as the Director of Engineering for the Americas at EdgeConneX since January 2026. Prior to this role, John held the position of Director of Data Center Engineering at Hanwha Energy USA from November 2024 to October 2025. John has extensive experience in critical facilities engineering, having worked at NTT DATA North America as the Director of Critical Facilities Engineering, where responsibilities included managing operations for multiple data center facilities. At Digital Realty, John led an engineering team focused on maintaining data center infrastructure to prevent outages. John's earlier work includes serving as a Senior Electrical Project Engineer at Schneider Electric and as a Nuclear Electrician's Mate in the US Navy, where John led maintenance initiatives within the Reactor Electrical Division. Academic qualifications include an MBA from Baylor University and a Bachelor's degree in Nuclear Engineering Technology from Excelsior University.
