Howard Smith

Howard Smith is a managing director at First Analysis, where they coordinate investment and research in broadband-enabled businesses, specializing in IT-based business models. Since joining First Analysis in 1994, Howard has established multiple IT research franchises and has been recognized for excellence by prominent publications. Howard has also provided strategic advice to various technology companies regarding capital raising and M&A transactions while serving on several boards, including observIQ and EdgeIQ. They hold an MBA from the University of Chicago and a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Prior to their current role, Howard was a senior tax consultant with Arthur Andersen & Co.
