Every country has a vision for its future. Ours is simple: a Uganda that creates, builds, and innovates for itself.

The Engineering Development and Innovation Centre (EDiC) was born from that vision. We exist to help Uganda move from being a consumer of imported technology to a creator of engineering solutions that stand tall on the global stage.

With our hubs in Namanve (the deep center of excellence) and Rwebiteete (the smart manufacturing hub), ideas don’t just stay on paper. They are tested, retooled, and brought to life with world-class machines and the guidance of skilled professionals. Here, engineers, entrepreneurs, and researchers work side by side to design products, grow businesses, and build industries that last.

We believe innovation is not for a select few but for everyone. That’s why our doors are open to students, startups, private sector players, and investors who share the dream of a self-reliant, competitive Uganda. Together, we’re shaping industries, creating jobs, and showing the world what homegrown engineering can achieve.

At EDiC, if it’s not idea to market, it’s not us.
