BATs Rugby is based in north Edinburgh and was set up in 2004 by Broughton Rugby Football Club, Edinburgh Academicals Football Club and Trinity Academicals Rugby Football Club.

Our vision is to provide the youth of north Edinburgh opportunities to participate in physical activity, in an inclusive environment, where everyone can be the best they wish to be.

We introduce children from 5 to 18 in our local schools to Rugby Union through curricular and non-curricular sessions and competitive school games, and onto encouraging young players to join the Club’s Mini, Midi and Youth teams where they can develop skills, agility, fitness and well‐being and grow as a person as part of a social group within the North of Edinburgh Community.

We promote equal access and opportunity for all and foster an inclusive environment based on enjoyment, friendship, trust, respect and honesty.
We provide learning and development opportunities through sport which
have a lasting positive impact on the community and social targets such as health improvement, truancy and crime reduction.

BATs Rugby works across the north Edinburgh community delivering a range of activities designed to increase participation, building skills, great behaviours and lifelong values.
