Phil Byun

Phil Byun, PhD, MB(ASCP), is a seasoned professional in the field of genetics and molecular biology with extensive experience in account management and laboratory research. Currently serving as Global Strategic Account Manager at EditCo since March 2024, Phil has held similar roles at Synthego Corporation and Omega Bio-tek. Previous positions include Clinical Laboratory Scientist at AKESOgen, Inc. and Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus, where Phil focused on CRISPR-Cas9 technology and mentoring interns. Phil's academic background includes a PhD from Emory University, complemented by research experience at the Carl R. Woese Institute for Genomic Biology.
