Raymond Pierce

Raymond C. Pierce serves as the President and CEO of the Southern Education Foundation, where they lead initiatives to enhance educational opportunities. Previously, Pierce held roles in the U.S. Department of Education under President Bill Clinton and served as Dean of a law school. With a background in corporate law and civil rights advocacy, Pierce has also contributed to education policy through various partnerships and initiatives. They earned a Juris Doctorate from Case Western Reserve University and a Master's degree from Duke University, and are currently enrolled in the Berkeley Leadership Program at Yale University Divinity School. Pierce is a Director at EdLight PBC and an Advisor at OKO Labs.
