Andrew Thomas

Andrew Thomas is Chief Commercial Officer for EDMI Group and is responsible for EDMI Group Sales & Marketing, Solution and Product Strategies.

Andrew served as Executive Director of EDMI ANZ between July 2013 and October 2022. As the regional head, he contributed significantly to the growth of the EDMI business through the leadership of the business during the Australian Power of Choice rollout, including the development and ongoing operation of the EDMI Energy Cloud and AMI 2.0 Solution. More recently he has led EDMI’s entry into the Smart Gas and Smart Water Solutions market, through successful development and incubation of global offerings in the ANZ market.

Andrew’s career has grown with EDMI through two 10-year engagements in the organisation. He has added a wealth of international metering and technology knowledge to this EDMI heritage via stints in the UK, Singapore and Australia in metering and IoT fields. Andrew has succeeded in a wide range of disciplines during his career including R&D, project delivery, sales and marketing and strategic leadership.

Andrew holds a first class Honours Degree in Engineering from the University of Queensland, where he was awarded a University medal and is currently studying a Master of Business Administration.
