Travis Nelson

Travis Nelson, PhD, serves as the Director of Special Academic Programs at Edmonds College, where they lead initiatives to promote equity and excellence in education. They have successfully expanded the College in the High School program and advanced Prior Learning Assessment, resulting in doubled enrollment and increased faculty partnerships. With over seven years of experience as a faculty member, Travis integrates adult learning theories and active learning strategies into their political science courses to enhance student engagement. Additionally, they are pursuing multiple advanced degrees, including a Master of Arts in International Politics and Europe at the University of Warwick.
