Jose Machado

Jose Machado is currently the Chief Procurement Officer (CPO) at EDP, a role they began in 2024. Prior to this position, they held various influential roles, including Global Head of Procurement at EDP Renewables and a Partner & Director at Boston Consulting Group, where they specialized in procurement and negotiation across multiple industries. Jose has previously served as an Advisor to the Board at UMIC and held senior management positions at Portugal Telecom and Deloitte Consulting. They possess a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Instituto Superior Técnico and have completed several executive education programs at prestigious institutions such as INSEAD and Harvard Business School.
