Chris Nicol is an experienced electrical engineer with a strong background in developing collaborative solutions for educational technologies. At SMART Technologies since July 2010, Chris has been instrumental in creating hardware and firmware for innovative DViT interactive whiteboards and other educational devices. Previous roles include electronics contractor at Science Alberta Foundation, where Chris designed and repaired educational devices, and electronics engineer at Grindcom, focused on control systems for the forestry industry. Chris also contributed as a teaching assistant at the University of Calgary. Chris holds a M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Calgary and a B.Tech. in Electronics Engineering from DeVry Institute of Technology.
