John Fensterwald is an editor at large at EdSource, where John writes on K-12 policies in California. John is also the writer and founder of The Educated Guess blog at Silicon Valley Education Foundation, which focuses on California education news and policy. Prior to their current roles, Fensterwald worked as an editorial writer at the San Jose Mercury News and as an editorial page editor at the Concord Monitor. John holds a Bachelor of Arts in History from Tufts University and completed a journalism fellowship at Stanford University.
