Libby Pier

Libby Pier has a diverse work experience in the field of education. Libby is currently the Chief of Staff and Director of Impact at Education Analytics, where they oversee organizational priorities, strategic planning, internal communication, external communications, and marketing. Libby previously worked as a Research Manager, leading statistical research projects and managing a team of researchers. Before that, they were a Data Strategist, managing partnerships and facilitating understanding of statistical ideas for partners. Libby also has experience in academia, having served as a Lecturer at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, teaching courses on learning analytics and educational psychology. Prior to that, they worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher and Research Assistant, conducting research and publishing articles in scientific journals. At Teach for America, Libby worked as a Corps Member, teaching English classes and utilizing student data to improve teaching.

Libby Pier earned their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Educational Psychology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, graduating in 2017. Prior to that, they obtained a Masters degree in Urban Education from Loyola Marymount University, which they completed from 2008 to 2010. Libby's educational journey began at Northwestern University, where they earned their Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism from 2004 to 2008. In addition to their formal education, Libby Pier also obtained a certification in The Chief of Staff Association Micro-Credential from The Chief of Staff Association in July 2022.
