Michael Carey

Michael Carey is an experienced education professional currently serving as a Math Instructional Specialist at EdLight, PBC since July 2023. Additionally, Michael has been a High School Varsity Soccer Coach and Teacher at STRIVE Prep since October 2012. Previous roles include teaching 7th, 8th, and High School Mathematics at Glendale Elementary School District from August 2009 to May 2012, and teaching through Teach for America between 2009 and 2011. Earlier career experience includes an administrative internship at Springfield Regional Medical Center, focusing on resource allocation, and a summer clerk position at Harkins and Associates, where legal research and administrative functions were performed. Michael holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics from Miami University and a Master of Education in Educational Leadership from Arizona State University.
