Jonathan Schmidgall

Jonathan Schmidgall is a Senior Research Scientist at ETS, with a tenure beginning in September 2013, where previous roles included Research Scientist and Associate Research Scientist. Prior to ETS, Jonathan worked at UCLA's Office of Instructional Development from September 2009 to June 2012 as Coordinator for the Test of Oral Proficiency, overseeing the evaluation of international graduate students’ speaking skills and managing rater training and validation research. Jonathan's experience in educational assessment also includes a role as Senior Research Assistant at Educational Testing Service from February 2007 to September 2009, focused on foundational and validity research within the English Language Learner group. Academic credentials include a PhD in Applied Linguistics from UCLA, an MA in Psychology from the University of Colorado Boulder, and a BS in Psychology from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
