Matthew Johnson

Matthew Johnson has a diverse work experience in the field of research and education. Matthew currently holds the position of Principal Research Director at ETS, a role they have held since October 2020. Prior to this, they served as the Senior Research Director at ETS from August 2018 to October 2020. Before joining ETS, Matthew worked at Teachers College, Columbia University as an Associate Professor of Statistics and Education from September 2008 to December 2018. Matthew also worked as an Associate Professor at Baruch College, CUNY from September 2002 to August 2008. Matthew'searly career includes a role as an Associate Research Scientist at Educational Testing Service from 2000 to 2002.

Matthew Johnson completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics at Indiana University Bloomington from 1992 to 1996. Matthew then pursued a PhD in Statistics at Carnegie Mellon University from 1996 to 2001.
