Michael Flor is a Senior Research Scientist at ETS, with experience in research and systems development in Natural Language Processing (NLP) since August 2005. Specializing in the automatic processing of text data, Michael combines statistical, linguistic, and cognitive approaches to enhance text processing for educational applications. Previous roles include Research Scientist and Associate Research Scientist at ETS, as well as positions as a Computational Linguist and Algorithms Designer at Celebros, and a Computational Linguist & Systems Architect at Homing. Michael began the career as a Senior Technical Writer and Project Manager at Weizman Technical Writing, focusing on multilingual software localization and technical writing. Michael holds a Ph.D. in Psychology from Tel Aviv University, earned between 1997 and 2003.
